Cooper believes consultative relationships with clients that allow Bowstring to get to know the client’s true desires and personality, coupled with the firm’s deep industry knowledge and transaction expertise, are the keys to our firm’s many successful transactions. These differentiators provide Bowstring the opportunity to best position the client and to realize the best fit and highest value.
This approach earned Cooper and his team M&A Advisor’s Transaction of the Year in 2016 for the sale of SOS Staffing to Elwood Staffing. Cooper’s sector expertise is within the areas of Human Capital Management and Healthcare Services.
Cooper joined the firm in its infancy in 2009 to build the Human Capital Management practice, executing some 40 transactions during his tenure.
Prior to joining Bowstring, Cooper founded and managed the business services industry practice at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, focusing on human capital and industrial services. Cooper began his investment banking career at Rotan Mosle in Houston.
Cooper is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and received his MBA from The Darden School at UVA. He has served as an Advisory Director of the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech and currently serves as a Foundation Trustee of Atlanta Youth Academy and the Center for the Visually Impaired. He and his wife, Cynthia, live in Atlanta.
Cooper got to know us as people first. He listened to our thoughts and desires and then gave us his advice even if it wasn’t what we wanted to hear. This approach allowed Cooper to match us with several private equity firms whose personalities fit us very well, ultimately exceeding our expectations.
