Industry veteran David Phillips joins Bowstring Advisory Partners as a director in the business services practice and will open the firm’s Jacksonville office. Most recently, Dave served as vice president of corporate development at Volt Information Sciences. Prior to Volt, Dave spent 10 years as vice president of corporate development for MPS Group, where he executed over forty (40+) transactions. During Dave’s tenure, MPS grew from $1.2 billion in revenue to over $2 billion at its peak, making it the 13th largest staffing firm in the world. In 2010, MPS sold to Adecco for $1.1 billion.
David Phillips commented, “MPS was one of the most acquisitive companies in the services sector and my path crossed a lot with Jim Childs and Cooper Mills and we always had a lot of respect for one another. Bowstring Advisory Partners brings a highly professional approach to investment banking for growing services companies. The firm has incredible momentum and I hope to add to it.”
Jim Childs, managing director, commented, “Getting Dave to join us was a real coup! Dave is incredibly well known in the HRO and staffing space and combines deep industry knowledge with extensive transaction experience. Our goal is to own the lower middle market investment banking space in business services and technology and Dave is a huge addition to our team as we pursue that vision.”
